Position Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Senior Solicitor with a specialist focus on Asbestos and Mesothelioma claims to join their Industrial Disease team. The successful candidate will have proven expertise in asbestos-related claims or broader Industrial Disease litigation and a strong professional following. The role offers the opportunity for partnership within the first year of employment for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle a caseload of Asbestos and Mesothelioma claims
- Develop new business and generate cases through an established professional network
- Build and maintain relationships within the Asbestos/Industrial Disease community
- Provide excellent client care, particularly with clients suffering from severe or fatal illnesses
- Work collaboratively with the team to enhance the firm's market position in Asbestos-related claims
- Manage and mentor junior staff, while having access to full paralegal and administrative support
Requirements:
- Technical excellence in handling Asbestos and/or Mesothelioma claims
- Qualified Solicitor, FILEX, or equivalent professional qualification
- Proven ability to generate new cases and maintain a network within the Asbestos/Industrial Disease sector
- Extensive case handling experience within Industrial Disease
- Strong interpersonal skills with a sensitivity for working with clients facing serious health conditions
- Ambitious and driven personality with a commitment to a collaborative legal practice
